If your media buyers are still relying on client-side Facebook Pixel and Google tag scripts, you are effectively flying blind on one-third of your conversions.
Ever since Apple released iOS 14.5 and Safari introduced aggressive Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP), browser-based cookies have been crippled: - Client-side cookies are capped at 7 days (or 24 hours when referral parameters are present). - Popular ad-blockers and privacy browsers terminate browser pixel network requests entirely. - In-app browsers often drop transaction events upon redirection to third-party payment gateways.
The Cloudflare Edge CAPI Architecture
Instead of routing user events through browser JavaScript that can be blocked or stripped, we deploy a serverless edge proxy on Cloudflare Workers:
**Dual Dispatch:** When an order completes, our client script dispatches an event with a unique `event_id`.
**Server-Side Verification:** Simultaneously, our Cloudflare edge server dispatches the identical transaction directly to Meta's Conversions API (CAPI) and Google Measurement Protocol with the matching `event_id`.
**Automated Deduplication:** Meta compares the browser and server payloads, eliminates duplicates, and pairs the server event with hashed customer identifiers (SHA-256 email, phone, city).
The result? Our clients achieve Event Match Quality scores between 9.0 and 9.4 out of 10. Meta's delivery algorithms receive full attribution data, stabilizing cost per purchase and unlocking profitable budget scaling.
